Texas Fishing License Requirements

Every angler aged 17 and older fishing in Texas public waters is required by law to have a valid fishing license with the appropriate freshwater or saltwater endorsements.

Required Endorsements

Since we fish the saltwater environments of Sabine Lake, the marsh bays, and the Gulf jetties, you will need a Texas Saltwater Fishing Endorsement attached to your license.

Identification Rules

Anyone age 17 or older must be physically present with valid, unexpired identification (such as a REAL ID driver's license or passport) when purchasing a license.

Children's Exemptions

Anglers under the age of 17 do not need a fishing license in Texas.
